The first four “Batman” movies are getting Zavvi exclusive 4K Steelbook releases in September

On September 16th, Zavvi are bringing us this great looking set of 4K Batman steelbooks, covering Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns, as well as Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever and (sorry) Batman & Robin.

The new 4K transfers are stunning, and also feature new Atmos audio mixes, while the Blu-rays are also based on those new 4K masters, with all the previous extras carried over.

You’ll also be able to get all 4 in boxset, which should work out cheaper if you want them all.

Pre-orders will be live from around 12 noon UK time on Wednesday 31st July, so ignore the ‘sold out’ notice until then. Also, at the time of writing the individual steelbooks are priced at £29.99 each, though we’d expect that to come down by launch time. We’d expect the boxset to be a bit cheaper as well, though we’re still trying to confirm all that.

Batman

Batman Returns

Brace for excitement as Val Kilmer (Batman), Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face), Jim Carrey (The Riddler), Nicole Kidman (Dr. Chase Meridian) and Chris O’Donnell (Robin) star in the third spectacular film in the Warner Bros. Batman series. Joel Schumacher (The Client) directs and Tim Burton coproduces this thrill ride of a movie that thunders along on Batmobile, Batwing, Batboat, Batsub and bold heroics. Hang on!

Batman & Robin
George Clooney plays the Dark Knight, who’s facing his deadliest threat yet: coldhearted Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarznegger) and venomous Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman). Batman has more than Gotham City to protect: The youthful eagerness of crime-fighting comrades Robin (Chris O’Donnel) and Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone) puts them frequently in harm’s way.
