Pixar’s animated classic “Toy Story” is getting a new lenticular Steelbook release from Zavvi in November
November 21st sees the release of this new lenticular edition of the classic Toy Story, which includes 2D and 3D versions of the movie.

Celebrate the movie that changed the face of entertainment. Toy Story, the first full-length computer-animated feature film, is a wonder to behold. Experience a hilarious fantasy abou the lives toys lead when they’re left alone. Woody, an old-fashioned cowboy doll, is Andy’s favourite. But when Andy gets Buzz Lightyear for his birthday, the flashy new space hero takes Andy’s room by storm! Their rivalry leaves them lost with a toy’s worst night-mare – Sid, the toy-torturing boy next door. Woody and Buzz must work together to escape, realising along the way that they’ve got a friend…in each other!
Bonus Features:
- Toy Story 3 Trailer
- Buzz Lightyear Mission Logs: Blast Off
- 3 Animated Studio Stories
- Buzz Takes Manhattan
- Making Toy Story
- Filmmakers Reflect
- Deleted Scenes & Design Galleries
- And Over 90 Minutes More Bonus!
Another November release. Ugh, Spread them out Zavvi.
This is getting disgusting. Stahp, Zavvi! (Well, it’s probably more Disney’s fault than Zavvi’s)
Are we going to get all 3 ?
Not going to fall for this anymore Zavvi, I’ll continue collecting the Marvel lenticulars, but definitely not these Pixar / Disney releases, already have the original releases and happy with them. The Age of Ultron lenticular release was insulting, just the original artwork with a copied magnet of the same front cover slapped on the front. Rip off!
Zavvi are just trying to find new ways to milk more money from collectors, by devaluing the original releases by slapping a magnet on the front. So must buy? Not a chance.
Its ok if you missed the titles first time around, but I’m not going to continue buying re releases whether that’s a lenticular edition or sleeve edition, only if its a digital re-master and a good one. What’s the big deal? Usually its just a copy of the front cover slapped on a magnet and badly reproduced in 3D hologram…
My case exactly, I missed on the original release (wasn’t in to steel back then, but caught the bug since then 🙂
So, my only concern with Zavvi, are they planning to release all Toy Story movies?
I just don’t want to end up with incomplete collection, case in point Zavvi released awesome looking still of LOTR “The Fellowship of Ring” but never followed through with the part 2 & 3 – what a shame!
