James Cameron’s sci-fi sequel “Aliens” is coming to 4K disc in the UK

There’s no word yet on a steelbook release, but the action sci-fi classic Aliens is finally getting a physical 4K release, so we reckon that’s worthy of reporting.
A note for people waiting for a UK release of The Abyss… We’re still waiting on confirmation of a release, but it may be affected by historical BBFC mandated cuts to the scene where a rat breathes liquid oxygen (the rat was totally fine, but the BBFC had concerns of animal cruelty). While the BBFC have become much more relaxed in recent years, we can’t imagine that would extend to perceptions of animal cruelty, meaning that the studio would probably need to create a UK specific cut for any UK screenings and disc release, and may decide it’s not worth the cost.
Release date is still TBC, but pre-orders are live now, and we’ll add more links as we get them.
