  1. Where’s Basil in the title?
I’ve always known it as ‘Basil the Great Mouse Detective’ but seems strange for it not to be on the steel

  2. Andy Denyer says:

For anyone wondering about the title:

“The film was also known as The Adventures of the Great Mouse Detective for its 1992 theatrical re-release and Basil the Great Mouse Detective in some countries [including the UK]”.

As it’s a UK release, perhaps it should really have the UK title Basil the Great Mouse Detective?

Not that it bothers me either way, to be honest. Just good to be getting more titles in the series to add to the collection.
