Christopher Nolan’s best film, “The Prestige” is getting a Steelbook re-issue from Warner Bros and Zavvi
Talk about this release on Slack
After the incredible Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan turned his attention to art of illusion, with the superb historical drama The Prestige.
There’s no 4K included in this re-issue unfortunately, but if you did miss this the first time round, now’s your chance to grab a copy.
Pre-orders are due to go live at Zavvi on Friday July 3rd so ignore any ‘sold out’ notices before then.
They’ll be live around 11am UK time for Red Carpet subscribers (though possibly earlier, so keep an eye on our Twitter feed, just in case…), and around 12 noon for everyone else. Our Red Carpet links don’t work properly for some reason, so you will need to log in first, then click the link below. Once the Red Carpet period is up, the link will work fine.
Pre-order: Zavvi
Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale star as two young stage magicians whose rivalry takes them to the pinnacle of fame–but with terrible consequences. As two friends and magicians are just starting to learn their art, Rupert Angier (Jackman–X-Men films) and Alfred Borden (Bale–Batman Begins) become bitter enemies after a sudden tragedy. Now, as the two devote their lives to a rivalry played out on the London stage, the sacrifices each makes to continue an ever-more deadly cycle of revenge will lead to fame and to tragedy.
Special Features:
- Director’s Notebook: The Prestige – The Cinematic sleight of hand of Christopher Nolan – 5 making-of featurettes
- The Art of the Prestige: Production Photos, Costumes/Sets, Behind the Scenes Photos and Poster Art Galleries
- Theatrical Trailer
Enough with the reissues. What about finishing the Marvel series that’s been started?
Graham Head what’s left in the Marvel series?
Steelbook Blu Ray News There’s only been the first 3 series of Agents of Shield, 2 of Daredevil, 1 each of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist and no sign of Defenders. I know these are not everyone’s cup of tea, but when I invest in something, I expect to be able to finish it.
Graham Head all those are entirely down to Disney though, as these are down to Warner Bros, so “what about” doesn’t really apply unfortunately
As anything Marvel would have been to do with Disney, I feel you already had this answer ready before my list. What else is there that doesn’t apply to Disney that is Marvel?
Graham Head Spider-Man and related characters are with Sony. I believe everything else is back with Disney now
Graham Head have to agree about Agents of Shield. Very annoying we’ve only got the first 3 seasons
What about the jumbo Lords Of The Rings steelbooks they started
Matthew Lenton my guess is the sales weren’t high enough, so the studio decided not to release the rest. Same probably goes for AoS
Steelbook Blu Ray News There’s plenty of steelbook series just not finished which is annoying
Matthew Lenton thnkfully i found a solution to that problem
Graham Head Personally, I don’t see those ever happening. Don’t get me wrong, I want them too. I have the others, and pissed they never at least did Punisher Season 1, at least (the best one-season 2 sucked). But they stopped producing those after everything was canceled and the more time that passes, It seems less likely I think.
Oh, and Daredevil Season 3. Grrrrr
Those are my 2 I wish they would at least do, even if the rest did not get done.
Punisher – Season one
Daredevil – Season 3.
I would still be bummed on the rest, but would be good with that.
I hate the reissues, what about stuff like a die hard or the cornetto trilogy4k steelbooks if you’re gonna do reissues, bring your A game Zavvi
I would love to see some stuff reissued, for example 28 Days Later. It’s pain in the side to obtain one now.
Wolverine, Batman, Alfred Pennyworth y Black Widow
Chris Rey and Ulysses Klaue
