The fantastic true-life thriller Argo is getting a great looking 10th Anniversary steelbook release from Zavvi on October 10th.

Pre-orders will be live around 12 noon on Saturday August 20th for Red Carpet subscribers, and will be live around around 6pm for everyone else, so ignore any ‘sold out’ notices until then.

Our Red Carpet links don’t work properly for some reason, so you will need to log in first, then click the link below. Once the Red Carpet period is up, the link will work fine.

Also, as we’re sure you’re asking, this release is highly likely to simply re-use the previous 4K and Blu-ray discs, which means the Blu-ray will contain the theatrical and director’s cut, while the 4K will be theatrical only. We may be wrong, but based on experience it’s VERY rare for new discs to be mastered when recent ones already exist. We’ll try to confirm this if we can, but don’t get your hopes up for a 4K director’s cut.

Pre-order: Zavvi

Acting under the cover of a Hollywood producer scouting a location for a science fiction film, a CIA agent launches a dangerous operation to rescue six Americans in Tehran during the U.S. hostage crisis in Iran in 1979.

Special Features (Blu-ray):

  • Picture-in-Picture: eyewitness account
  • Rescued From Tehran: We were there
  • FEATURE-LENGTH COMMENTARY (ON 4K AND BLU-RAY) With director Ben Affleck and writer Chris Terrio
