“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” is coming to UK Steelbook in April

The epic fantasy sequel The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug arrives on UK steelbook on April 7th, in a set that includes 2D & 3D versions of the movie, along with a digital copy and a small selection of extras.

We’d expect the price to drop before release (which means you can pre-order today and pay the lower price upon dispatch), and for this to be region free, in line with the first movie’s release.
