Classic comic book adaptation “Superman” is coming to 4K disc in November

Loading...The first Superman movie really set the bar by which all other comic book adaptations have been measured, and now it’s getting a 4K release, based on a brand new 4K scan from the Theatrical Cut’s original negative.
This new remaster will be on both 4K (complete with Dolby Atmos) and Blu-ray – full details are below.
There is a Blu-ray set also coming that will included the Special Edition and Extended Cut.
No word yet on a steelbook for either release.

why not? It’s a great film and deserves a 4K release. I hope they do 2 too.
Joseph Molnar yes it’s great but honestly the resolution is prob good enough on bluray. Save ur money.
Jordan Hoover please, the movie was shot in 70mm, there’s plenty of resolution that can be displayed with a good 4K transfer..

Jordan Hoover Well I won’t know that till I buy it. HALLOWEEN and GREASE, not released in the same year look amazing on 4K BD so I’m hoping this will too.
Joseph Molnar it’s newly restored from a new 4K scan of the camera negative. I’d expect it to shit all over the current blu-ray

The theatrical IS the 4K version. The others are on regular BD.

Looks like 4K Theatrical, with DC (and maybe Theatrical) on Blu-ray. No 3 hr TV version in this edition.
