Loading...It’s fair to say that expectations weren’t high for the first Planet of The Apes semi-reboot/prequel, but Rise of The Planet of The Apes was a smart and entertaining hit. Since then the series has gone from strength the strength.
Now, the new trilogy is getting great looking Zavvi exclusive steelbook release.
The release date is still TBC, but pre-orders will be live from midday UK time on August 31st, so ignore the ‘sold out’ button before then.

Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson). But after the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and resolves to avenge his kind, pitting him against the Colonel in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species…and the future of the planet.
Is the artowrk final? If so I’m not convinced I’ll replace the 3 individual ones I have with this… Will have to see how the 3rd one looks in person (pre-ordered).

Just looking at it again, the artwork is actually not bad but I’m not a fan of having “trilogy” or “including” on the cover, they should have just left it less cluttered.
I quite like this art, but have the first two as amaray releases, and I’ve ordered the hmv 4K steelbook, so not gonna double dip
Yes, I’ve also have the first 2 but from HMV and have the 3rd on order HMV too. I’ll probably get this for no other reason than I have limited shelf space and this would tidy things up if I ever have to make space one day 😀
They are going to make more – so what is the point of a trilogy set ?
Because these three films represent one overall story arc as a trilogy, with a beginning, middle and end.
The next film(s) will start a new one
