Fairy-tale fantasy hit “Snow White and the Huntsman” is getting a new Steelbook & Slipcase release from Zavvi in September

Loading...On September 12th Zavvi are bringing us a new steelbook release of Snow White and the Huntsman, complete with slipcover, and limited to 2000 copies.
Pre-orders will be live around 6pm UK time on Saturday July 30th, so ignore the ‘sold out’ button until then.

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

Yet another universal reissue what about the movies still not on blu-ray.
Love the film and now I am really looking forward to this special slip case edition, to add to my steelbook collection.

The first steelbook of this movie looked better
Very interesting that Zavvi are going to start to issue slipcases. Are they trying to rival the premium Asian companies? Maybe if it was a good movie, but I’ll wait and see what other movies the release with slipcases.
I don’t get why this is getting another Steelbook release. Would be interested if the film was better. Hopefully we’ll see more Slipcased Steel releases.
Better artwork than the version I have, but just checked and Zavvi put the price up from £15.99 to £24.99 today. It’s not a 3d release , but priced like one, not even a great film, just an OK film.. If Zavvi had kept the price at £15.99 I may have been tempted because of the artwork, but that price for a meeh film no way! I’ll wait and see if the price drops, if it sells out, I won’t be that bothered.

Seems to happen a lot, I think Zavvi do it to catch out collectors rushing in case it sells out quickly thinking they won’t check again after placing the order. Happened to me last week with the aliens release, price dropped 5 minutes after I ordered, had to cancel and reorder again…Glitch..maybe… But it happens way too often..
You don’t need to reorder. The price would get reduced automatically
I checked my orders after the price drop but still showed at the higher price. Maybe it would have been amended after a few hours, or they would have charged me the lower price come despatch, but didn’t want to risk it.
Checked again and it’s dropped back to £15.99. 🙂
